So on saturday me, my pa, and Lorraine went to this exhibition by that crazy Doctor, Gunther Von Hagens, who did those Anatomy for beginners programs.

It was fantastic, seeing all these plastinated bodies (bodies which have had all liquid deposits replaced with a plasticy substance that when cured will preserve the bodies indefinately, it lets muscles stand up on their own its that powerful).

Anatomical art! It was fantastic...and educational.

Its a shame that there is no photography allowed inside, other wise I would have been sticking some snaps in the scraps area.

They did some pretty amazing peices there though, including 2 of my favourites which I shall detail below.
The badminton player, split at the foot into 3 constituent sections, skeletal, muscular and organs. All still joined at the one foot, all in the same position, showing how as you do one thing everything interacts. It looked fantastic.

The same with Exploded Human Body. They took a body and sliced it into circular sections and then placed each one about half a foot from its nearest slice, allowing you to look inside at any slice of the body and see what it was like.

I don't know how long it will stay there but anyone going to manchester soon should go and check it out in the Museum of Science and Industry.

It was such a fascinating day!
