Artist's Comments

Originally I sketched the image of the puppet hung by his own threads on a day I was feeling somewhat used. The idea came to me that many people commit suicide through being used as puppets for other people to ';play' with and use and from there the image developed.
The poem itself was inspired from the image and is really part of the image, because without it the poem wouldn't have existed.
I tried to base the concept on the feelings of the person being used, and the depression that is associated with the realisation that one has been used.

Any comments are appreciated.

To be honest though it took about 5 minutes to draw and I think the drawing could have been improved.

i like the peom it speaks alot. the drawing speaks more though keep up the good work.

it's better to see then be blind, its better to hear then be deaf, take nothing for granted, it won't last forever. wow i was really deppressing just then...

I liked the work - all of it. It doesn't matter if you don't think you can draw or not, whats bad to another person is good to the next - the good thing is that everyone who has seen this got the message you wanted. I think visual poetry is good and yours is a very strong piece. Keep up the good work.
